We lost another family member on the 3rd of May. My Amachi's oldest sister passed away. She was 80-something years old and had been sick for a few months now. I supposed it's part of life, growing old and slowly slipping away. She leaves behind five children, eight grandchildren AND two GREAT-grandchildren. How cool is that right? Mummy gave the eulogy at the funeral and everyone loved it.
My mother's family is really close, because my grandmother is close to her sisters. There were 12 of them, 7 girls and 5 boys. Four of the boys passed on years and years ago, but the girls were always the pillars, standing strong. On Monday, one of the pillars came tumbling down. Mum said it's like an institution just fell to the ground. It's scary to think that she was the first one to go. Now I'm scared for my own Amachi. But I know my amachi has got tons of spunk in her and many years waiting for her. She has to see her first few great grandchildren too.
Note; Death can never overcome us, as long as we have Jesus Christ in our hearts, minds and souls.
