It just occurred to me for the first time tonight, that this is my last year of being a teenager. I'm not sure how I feel about this. In a way, I'm getting more and more afraid of what life will have in store for me. Because I know the older I get, the more challenges come my way and the harder it's gonna be. I'm gonna have to be more independent and take life into my own hands. But in another way, I'm excited. I'm excited about growing up and having more control over my life. Being able to do what I want with no objections, no curfews, more freedom to do what I want. It's an exciting thought to be able to have control of my life.
And okay so technically if you're counting, I'm still in my 18th year because I haven't reached 19. And even after I turn 19, I still have a whole year ahead of me to be 19 just because my birthday is in November. I haven't done much with my life this year. Okay that's a lie :) I've done quite a lot of self improvement I think. I've fixed myself and in most ways I am better now than I ever was. I know who my true friends are and the people I can trust, I am careful about who I let close to me, I am in a pretty much stable relationship and I'm more patient and working things out with my family. I am also closer to God I feel. Well, closer that I have ever been. You know, the important stuff, just ironing out the creases in my life.
Yet, I'm still not satisfied with my life. There's still SO many things I want to do, especially the things on my 101 list :) But I promise myself, I'll get there soon I hope.
