Guess who's back ;)

Gues who's back (back back back)
BACK AGAIN! JOANNA's back!
Tell a friend! :D

Lol. So yeah!! I'm in a pretty good mood to tell you all about camp. It was the shizz. It was really fun, probably the best camp I went to in my entire life :)

So we arrived around 5pm in Melaka and headed to the place. It was just like a really huge bungalow and there was a boys' dorm on the left and a girls' dorm on the right and in between the two was the hall. It was pretty much in the middle of the jungle.

Anyways, our first few activities were lessons indoors and we got divided into groups and all. Zac, Roshaan, Mithrah and I were in the same group with three other friends. And our group name was "Yes Man!", because one of the members had watched that movie the night before ;D But we made up something about how that was our name cos we're always ready to take on a challenge. Annnnnyway we had a bunch of cool activities. There was building a superstructure with cards and only cards and then to see if they stood the test of stability and strength. We didnt do so great with that one :P It fell apart while the other team's structure was being tested. It was so funny!

Then we had midnight jungle trekking which was actually quite fun. But also slightly scary. It was absolutely dark and only two people were allowed to have torchlights; the person in the front and the person in the back.  In between the line, if anyone had ANY form of lights, we got yelled at and told to shut it off. It was all good but there was twice that the line broke and people got left behind. At one point it was only like the guy in front of me, Anir, me and the guy behind me, Charles. We were right in front of the line but we had to stop and wait while the leader, Daniel went to the back to get those who got left behind. And suddenly out of no where, two or three other people appeared, it was so funny. And then at some point we managed to get the group back together and we continued. Then we reached this point where there was a river-ish thing in between and we had to cross to the other end, on ropes. It was pretty hard, but I did it! :) Oh and thank you Charles for being so nice to me and holding m hand through out the camp, cos I was totally unstable.

After trekking we went back to the dorms and slept. Some slept really late, most of us slept early. The ONLY issue I had with the place was the bathrooms! There was only four bathrooms and like 20 girls! HOW do 20 girls share four bathrooms! At some points it got annoying cos some girls were really inconsiderate about the time. Some of them really just took too long to have showers and the thing about the place is that it was on a mountain so the water supply ran from the top, so at some point, the water runs out. It was slightly irritating. But an experience nonetheless. At least now I know there's no way I could live with more then three or four girls :D

Anyways, the next morning we had a really interesting activity. We woke up at 5am and the activity we had was called tears of the sun. Two groups were combined and my group was with the Tarantulas. So Charles and I were co- team captains. We received envelopes with instructions and it was pretty much like a treasure hunt la. But it was awesome fun :)

We had to trek and retrieve packages that contained things we needed to build forts and start fires.

We ended with a really strong fire :)

Charles, the King :P in our half ready fort :)

After that we had another really big activity. FLYING FOX. Omg, I was shit scared. See, I'm slightly afraid of heights. Slightly because I am okay with being in tall buildings, as long as I know I am inside and safe. Airplanes, I have a slight fear but not so much because though we're high in the air, I know we're safe in a whole couple of tonnes of metal. But the idea of hanging from a harness on a rope? Yeah, not so thrilling to me. I cried and all that shit cos I was really scared but I did it. And I was so proud of myself once it hit me because there was one other girl who was afraid to do it and she refused. But I was so proud of myself for doing it even though I was afraid :)

to act, we had to prepare skits and stuff. But it was really fun. The last night there we watched a movie "Remember the Titans" which was a REALLY good movie with Denzel Washington in it, and p.s I love Denzel! Anyways, it was a good movie. We slept pretty early that night, all of us, cos we were really tired from the whole day's activity. The next day was pretty easy activities. We were all slightly sad to leave camp, but I think we all took great experiences from it.
