Guys, are like shoes.

And the search for the right guy, is like the hunt for the perfect pair of shoes.

Sometimes, the perfect pair of shoes is the first one you try on. But that's only if you're really lucky, which, more often than not, most of us aren't.

When you think about it, in the days of arranged marriages and all that, marriages lasted way longer. Back then, a woman didnt need so many pairs of shoes, cos well, its not like there were many options to choose from. There wasnt Jimmy Choos or Manolo Blahniks or Steve Maddens to choose from.

But now in a modern day, when we have so friggin many designers out there and so many styles to choose from. here's the way i see it, the many different types of shoes represent the many different types of guys.

Here's my opinion based on how i feel about shoes and men.

High heels, like stiletto kinda high heels, are the guys that are the playas and the pimps of the world. Why? cos think about it. Stilettos are always fun to wear and sexy and flirty.. And at first they feel as good as they look. But after awhile, the killer pain starts to set in. And before the end of the night, you've got blisters that hurt like hell on ur feet.

Its like, the other night when i went out with the girls, i borrowed davinia's heels right. And they were sooooo sexy and wearing them i felt so... TALL and sexy. and they were a bit hard to walk in but i adjusted and i LOVED em. But towards the end of the night, they started hurting my feet like hell! i got blisters weyh!

Sneakers are the kinda guys i couldn't see myself with, unless they were REALLY INTERESTING sneakers. Sneakers, as comfortable as they maybe, (as comfortable as i maybe with a guy who is a pair of sneakers), you can't wear sneakers with everything. And at the end of the day, what i really want is a pair of shoes that i can wear on any occasion. - [meaning i want a guy that will be there and know how to deal in every kind of situation]

Then there's the Slippers. As much as i love wearing slippers cos they're sometimes the easiest, least complicated thing to put on, slippers are like what i would wear to the market or to the mamak shop or something. Especially the really caplang kind that are all worn out and stuff. Slippers are lazy shoes. You wear then when you're too lazy to put on prepers shoes and just want something to slide into. I dont want to settle lazily for a lazy guy and we'll be lazy together. No way.

Then there are Sandals and Flats, which in my opinion are just about awesome. Sandals and Flats are awesome cos u can wear it with almost anything! And they're mostly comfortable. And with all the designs and patterns they come in now, HELO! They're just AWESOME. MY FAVS are the gisele bundchen brand ipanema

mine are black. of course, knock offs, but STILL.

And the thing is, these are my favs to wear, cos they're comfy, easy to slip on and off AND they look good! what more could i want? Flats and Sandals are like the good guys that we all want to end up with in the end, the good guy that we're comfortable with and that look good with us.

You know what my problem is though? i have a habit and a fascination for the high heels. As much as they hurt after i've walked around and danced all night in them, and as much as they've give me blisters, i still want to wear them!

And the thing is, im the kind of girl who can stand the pain to a certain extent. Like those heels i wore the other night, i walked around in them all night, and i danced in them all night and though it hurt like crazy, i refused to take it off to chill. i think though, i could stand the point to a certain extent. then i couldnt anymore. I'm like that with guys that im in relationships with too, i'll put up with as much nonsense as i can stand, though it hurts me like hell.. but there's only so far you can push me.

Maybe i should learnt to wear flats and sandals and stick to them, for once in my life, go for the good guy..
