Today,
A legend leaves us.
Michael Jackson.
He started off as an 11-year-old singing with his four brothers in the Jackson 5 and evolved into the King of Pop. But he's so much more than just that. He influenced a lot of the other music in the world. And his dance moves, that's just another story on its own. N sync, Chris Brown, Wade Robson, all these awesome dancers have been influenced by Michael.
Michael Jackson may have been a bit.. well to say in a kind way.. not right in some senses.. but he's still a genius in so many ways. HELO! Thriller is the BEST SELLING album of ALL TIME! THAT should tell you something about MJ! All those things he was accused of, now they don't matter. Because he was so great, he will only be remembered as a Music Legend, like Elvis. -[ The irony of the connection between Elvis and Michael.. One was the King of Rock 'n Roll, the other was the King of Pop. Both died at such young ages, so suddenly. One married the other's daughter. Think about that, there's a deep connection here ]-
I was never really a HUGE MJ fan. My sister was, she even went to his concert, the Dangerous tour, when she was a kid.
I was too young to be interested in concerts, but nonetheless, my love of music even as a child brought me to love some of his music, like Billy Jean, You Are Not Alone, Thriller, Black or White, ABC.. and so much more!
His death may have come as a surprise to everyone, because im sure everyone expected him to live well into his 70s and STILL be performing. But really, i think he might have known his time was coming because his final tour that was supposed to have been kicked off on july 13th was called the Final Curtain Call.
Michael may not be alive anymore, but i can most certainly tell you that he is not dead. He's somewhere sipping whisky and coke with the likes of Elvis and Tupac and Aaliyah =) His music, just like theirs, continues to live on in all of us, his music makes him immortal to the world as it continues to link the hearts of people all over the world. His music really is the stuff of legends and people will continue to listen to his music just like they still listen to Elvis.

What other's had to say about the King of Pop ::
Rev. Al Sharpton : Michael Jackson made culture accept a person of color. To say an 'icon' would only give these young people in Harlem a fraction of what he was. He was a historic figure that people will measure music and the industry by.
Diddy: Michael Jackson showed me that you can actually see the beat. He made the music come to life!! He made me believe in magic. I will miss him!
Samantha Ronson: His music is just as relevant now as it was the day they pressed record, I'm sure it will remain so for generations to come.R.I.P.Mr Jackson.

Ice T: Rest In Peace Mike. People can say what they want but you were 100% original. WE will always love , miss & remember your GREATNESS.
John Mayer: Dazed in the studio. A major strand of our cultural DNA has left us. RIP MJ. I think we'll mourn his loss as well as the loss of ourselves as children listening to Thriller on the record player.
